BWF Hong Kong Open

The BWF Hong Kong Open is a pro badminton tournament that will be played at the Hung Hom Coliseum in China.

The 2023 tournament will be at the BWF 500 level and feature some top players including Viktor Axelsen, Anthony Sinisuka Ginting, Akane Yamaguchi, and Carolina Marin.

Men’s Singles

The winner of the 2023 men’s singles competition was Jonatan Christie who defeated Kenta Nishimoto 12-21, 22-20, 21-18 in the 2023 final (see video highlights from the final below).

Other past winners of the men’s singles include Lee Chong Wei (2009, 2010, 2013, 2015, and 2017), Lin Dan (2003, 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2011), and Chen Long (2012).

Women’s Singles

The winner of the 2023 women’s singles competition was Akane Yamaguchi who defeated Zhang Yiman 21-18, 21-15 in the 2023 final.
